I Love a Good Necklace

Like the title says I love a good necklace, the bigger the better! I decided to show a few of my recent buys picked up from my travels around the world.

I love being able to wear a distinctive piece of jewellery that I know no one I know will be wearing. For that reason I tend to stick to accessory shopping either abroad or in small bazaars/markets.

Holidays & Roadtrips

The last week has been HECTIC!

So I decided to spring a surprise holiday on a very unsuspecting individual which went down an absolute treat. We decided to go to North Germany (mainly because I love Germany and can speak the language which makes things easier).

It was a fabulous few days and the weather was hotter than the UK which is always a bonus ;) I would definitely recommend Bremen for a city break. So much to see and do and it's not too denting on the the old bank balance either! If you are considering going I will happily write you a little list of things to see and do.

Then... 2 days after arriving home myself and a few girl friends decided to take a road trip. I absolutely love road trips and this was no exception. Visiting the small town of Bakewell provided lots of delicious food and a look around the markets. Again, I would also recommend this for a quick weekend getaway. I seem to building a theme of city breaks with my posts...

Festival Weekend

Last weekend I decided to go to a music festival in the North West, just for the day though because I am  definitely NOT a camping person. It was such a lovely sunny day and I got to see many of my favourite acts I had been waiting a while to see.

What's in your makeup bag?

Following on from one of my older posts 'What's in Your Handbag?' I decided to do another but looking at the contents of my make up bag. Genius, right?!

Normally on a day to day basis I try to stay away from the caked look during the day and try and wear minimal make up which is usually - foundation, mascara and blusher. This is only so when I go out I can up the glamour so I can look dramatically different from how I look at at work. (And also look like I've made an effort).

At the minute I use the touché eclait foundation from YSL but I have previously used the perfect touch also by YSL and can do nothing but sing its praises! What foundation are you using currently, if any?

Shopping, Food and Friends

So today was another lovely day here in Yorkshire and a friend decided to come and visit me for the day. So what did we decide to do? Lunch and shopping of course ;)

I bought a lovely new mint green t-shirt and a nice cheap pair of sunglasses. I have SOO many pairs of sunglasses but I just can't stop buying more!

For lunch we went to an Italian restaurant which was very impressive. Normally I tend to avoid large chains of restaurants but I was both impressed with the service and the quality of food. Two thumbs up from me.

A Quick Weekend Getaway

The sunshine was out again in full force this weekend, so being a keen traveller I decided to take a quick, spontaneous trip to the Peak District. Aren't spontaneous holidays just the best?!

What's in your Handbag?

So I saw a feature recently in which bloggers were photographing the contents of their handbags so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon ;)

Obviously there was a lot of the usual rubbish in my bag - receipts, snacks, tissues etc so I decided to leave that out.

Currently I'm sporting a Longchamp le pliage in green (medium).
