I Love a Good Necklace

Like the title says I love a good necklace, the bigger the better! I decided to show a few of my recent buys picked up from my travels around the world.

I love being able to wear a distinctive piece of jewellery that I know no one I know will be wearing. For that reason I tend to stick to accessory shopping either abroad or in small bazaars/markets.

What is your favourite necklace this season?

P.s please excuse my shoddy photography skills ;)

Holidays & Roadtrips

The last week has been HECTIC!

So I decided to spring a surprise holiday on a very unsuspecting individual which went down an absolute treat. We decided to go to North Germany (mainly because I love Germany and can speak the language which makes things easier).

It was a fabulous few days and the weather was hotter than the UK which is always a bonus ;) I would definitely recommend Bremen for a city break. So much to see and do and it's not too denting on the the old bank balance either! If you are considering going I will happily write you a little list of things to see and do.

Then... 2 days after arriving home myself and a few girl friends decided to take a road trip. I absolutely love road trips and this was no exception. Visiting the small town of Bakewell provided lots of delicious food and a look around the markets. Again, I would also recommend this for a quick weekend getaway. I seem to building a theme of city breaks with my posts...

How was your week?

Festival Weekend

Last weekend I decided to go to a music festival in the North West, just for the day though because I am  definitely NOT a camping person. It was such a lovely sunny day and I got to see many of my favourite acts I had been waiting a while to see.

I've included a few pics but apologies as the quality is not brilliant ;)

How was your weekend guys?

What's in your makeup bag?

Following on from one of my older posts 'What's in Your Handbag?' I decided to do another but looking at the contents of my make up bag. Genius, right?!

Normally on a day to day basis I try to stay away from the caked look during the day and try and wear minimal make up which is usually - foundation, mascara and blusher. This is only so when I go out I can up the glamour so I can look dramatically different from how I look at at work. (And also look like I've made an effort).

At the minute I use the touché eclait foundation from YSL but I have previously used the perfect touch also by YSL and can do nothing but sing its praises! What foundation are you using currently, if any?

Picture shows -

YSL touché eclait
YSL touché eclait foundation
YSL perfect touch
Maybelline mascara
Barry M lipstick
Bobbi brown Kabuki brush
MAC blusher

Shopping, Food and Friends

So today was another lovely day here in Yorkshire and a friend decided to come and visit me for the day. So what did we decide to do? Lunch and shopping of course ;)

I bought a lovely new mint green t-shirt and a nice cheap pair of sunglasses. I have SOO many pairs of sunglasses but I just can't stop buying more!

For lunch we went to an Italian restaurant which was very impressive. Normally I tend to avoid large chains of restaurants but I was both impressed with the service and the quality of food. Two thumbs up from me.

What's the one thing you guys can't stop buying more of?

Tee - H&M
Sunglasses - New Look

What's in your Handbag?

So I saw a feature recently in which bloggers were photographing the contents of their handbags so I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon ;)

Obviously there was a lot of the usual rubbish in my bag - receipts, snacks, tissues etc so I decided to leave that out.

Currently I'm sporting a Longchamp le pliage in green (medium).

Things you can see in the pic -

1) Pink Moleskine diary, I have OCD so I would be lost without this!
2) Lamy fountain pen
3) Campo Marzio ballpoint pen
4) YSL touché eclait
5) Barry M lipstick
6) Bodyshop vanilla hand cream
7) Rayban sunglasses
8) Tory Burch purse (a recent birthday present from my best friend which made me very happy!)
9) Littman Stethoscope
10) Mahooosive can of deodorant (again my OCD would not be happy without this)

What's in your handbag?

It's all Greek to me...

I've decided to dedicate this post to the yummy Greek meal I had yesterday!

Back in my favourite city (Manchester of course) I was taken out to dinner to a lovely place just past Didsbury. The food was so tasty and meeting the owner was a real gem, such a friendly guy.

Anyway, I took a few pics and have posted them below however I can't remember the name of the dishes we ordered sorry!

I wore - a red vintage blouse, Miss Selfridge necklace, black tights and black patent boots. Are you guys a fan of Greek food?

Statement Necklaces Anyone?

We probably all have one and they are big this season...

I was looking around for a new necklace and I've narrowed it down to these three, all from ASOS.com. What do you think?

It's to wear with a plain black tee but I can't choose between them eek!

1) Pearl collar £32.00 ASOS
2) Scale collar £15.00 ASOS
3) Mix -it necklace £50.00 ASOS

Bank Holiday Fun

I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend, I for one was absolutely loving the sunshine!

I was in Manchester for the weekend (yes I was shopping, guilty as charged) and found a lovely deli in Didsbury. The food and service were both lovely so I thought I'd share the cheeky pic I took...

I played it safe with a salmon and cream cheese bagel whilst my dining partner got the pesto and halloumi ciabatta. Both were YUMMY!

Do you have any favourite delis/cafes you can recommend?

Ooh First Post Magic

Hello!

This is exciting, this is my first post so let me start by saying a warm welcome.

I'll primarily be blogging about fashion however my other loves include - travelling, music, medicine and yummy food so expect a little of that too.

About me - I am a 23 year old living in the Northwest of England and I am chirpy 99% of the time.

Anywayyyy that's enough for introductions hopefully you can learn more about me as I blog...

I want to show you something pretty that I had bought for me bought this week -

I'm graduating soon (woo/yay) so I got treated to some nice new shoes to wear on the day. Rationale behind them was something comfy I can wear all day but stylish too so I decided on these bad boys. They're not too high but high enough to be traipsing around in all day. Also considering I'm just over 5" I could do with the extra height ;)

You can find them if you click here.

What do you think? Yay or nay?
